Bidjan’s Painting *

The hidden story behind your paintings

Is another subject, another story!

Not the description of a relaxed color

Taking an afternoon nap on a beach of canvas

An unintentional deviation of paint brush,

Away, from the “Intention”

Not far away stupid, disabled creator

From the “invention”

Not the story telling without the “Teller”

In an unwanted” creation”

Without  the approval of us !

Not an enjoyment walking in the garden of ignorance

Having  simply to desire

To the world of Just !

 ........................................................

The hidden story behind your paintings

Is another subject, another story!

..........................................................

Unlike the dark moment of a Clown’s make-up

Whose calendar of remaining seconds

Make the “smile”, alive

A doubtful picture

In your untouchable canvas

 In an unfenced acrobatic seen

Willing to the skipping the rope

With the belief of

Passing from one point to another

In the blowing high wind

From a barbed wire

The” innocence” go and passes  bare-footed easily

From the ridge to the toxic

With a smile!

Not on the lips of hope ,alone

On the whole body of our destiny

Not on mine, alone!

Pointing out ,to the destiny of all of us !

The hidden story, behind your paintings

Is another subject, another story!

Although, your canvas

Is pregnant with field of innocent Jasmines

Watering with a river of bloods;

Although, your lips is being hanged on the face of all of us

On a branch of Sarcasm tree of dying stars !

But, your point, your way, and your address

Is to the morning star which never dies!

Your lines of your colored voices

Is the resurrection of “Belief?”

And waking-up-in the morning-

 To the rings of

Dead cloak’ Clock Dead “goodbyes”!

…………………….. ……………………………………….

No, No, No!

The definition of your paintings

Is beyond the understanding of an illiterate person, like me!

The hidden story behind your paintings

Is another subject, another story!

  • This poem is written years ago in Farsi (Persian language) and dedicated to Bidjan Assadipour, an internationally renowned Iranian painter living in California U.S.A.  Now, after these years, I have decided to translate it into English. I hope the readers would forgive me for my broken English translation!
